Growing food is sacred. Minwaadizi Farm is an Indigenous-led social enterprise that grows certified organic and regionally adapted foods, seeds, and medicines for community. Minwaadizi also grows support for Indigenous people to access land based learning in a collaborative and culturally appropriate way. Minwaadizi prioritizes the integration of Indigenous spiritual and cultural practices into food production because we believe this is the way towards sustainable food systems and healthy communities.
Minwaadizi operates via a lease agreement with Good Earth Farms Seeds on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the K’ómoks First Nation. We sell our products to local restaurants, grocery stores, and at local farmers markets via Comox Valley Organic Coop. Our mission is to grow organic foods, host land based cultural learning events, and build Indigenous leadership in food systems.
